Impact & Community
The Sparks Financial team supports a wide variety of nonprofit and community-based organizations, including the following organizations.
Sparks Financial Legacy Cup 2022
Sparks Financial hosted clients and guests to its annual Legacy Cup golf event benifitting Children's Hospital of Colorado.
Over 90 clients, team members and guests played a scramble golf tournament at Ravenna Golf Club. The golf event and silent auction raised over $25,000 for Children's Hospital.
Each year Sparks Financial participates in the annual walk along with clients, family and friends to join the fight to end this deadly disease by raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
In 2019, Sparks Financial was recognized with the Alzheimer’s Foundation Rising Star Award for raising more than $10,000 from 50 different donors. Our annual goal at the walk is to raise $10,000 and we did it again in 2022.
Denver Street School
For over 10 years, Sparks Financial has been involved with The Denver Street School serving as Board leadership and through financial support to contribute to the academic, social and emotional needs of at-risk youth.
The Denver Street School is a 501c3, fully accredited, multi-campus, private, Christian high school designed to meet the unique challenges and needs of the struggling youth in the Denver-metro area. With over 35 years of experience, the Denver Street Schools brings its passion for education, belief in the transformational power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and a mission to serve the whole student. This, paired with their determination, passion, and grit, creates a powerful, synergetic experience. Ninety-five percent of DSS graduates go on to higher education, vocational school, apprenticeships, military, or the workforce within two years of graduation.

Food For Thought
Since 2012, Food For Thought Denver has been working hard to ensure children in the Denver area don’t go hungry, and Sparks Financial is an active supporter of this important mission through volunteer work and fundraising.
The 100% volunteer organization was created to address the food gap for many children in the Denver-metro area, especially during weekends. Food For Thought today distributes weekend food bags at more than 70 Denver area schools. Each bag, called a PowerSack, provides enough non-perishable food to feed a family of four for the weekend.

Denver City Lax
Denver City Lax is a nonprofit growing the game of lacrosse in underserved neighborhoods and using the sport as a platform to assist at-risk youth in finding success on the field and in the classroom.
Our team volunteers for and participates in activities with Denver City Lax, including its annual Dash running fundraiser in February.
Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation
Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation was established in 1978 and is dedicated solely to advancing the mission of Children’s Hospital Colorado.
Thanks to donations large and small and the generous philanthropic spirit of our community, Children’s Colorado is able to provide the family-centered care for which we have become world renowned. From conducting cutting-edge research and treatment to building kids’ confidence through our hospital sports program, providing family sleep rooms and integrating arts therapy into the healing process, Children’s Colorado is truly unique in its approach to treatment.
Our team at Sparks Financial committed to giving $100,000 to build a new playground at the Colorado Children’s Hospital, South Campus. We met our goal this year! A special thanks to our clients who chose to partner with us to make an impact for the kids and families here in Denver.
